Joma present Valencia with the 'Senyera' to mark Official Supplier agreement
The 2011 'Senyera de la Afición’ was unveiled at the Torres de Serrano in
Valencia early in June 2011 to mark the beginning of the deal that sees Madrid based teamwear specialist Joma, become the Offical Supplier to the La Liga club.
Attended by VCF President Manuel Llorente, Joma President Fructuoso López,
VCF Technical Secretary Braulio Vázquez, Chief Executive Fernando Giner, Head of External
and Institutional Relations Jordi Bruixola, Supporters Group President Blas Madrigal and new signing Adil
Rami, the event signalled a new era in Joma's growing influence on the professional football scene.

Joma President López commented: "I could not have received a warmer welcome to Valencia and I hope that we get off to a great
start together. Joma was created more than 40 years ago and the journey has been immense. We have
delegations in 8 countries and have always had close ties with top class sport, particularly athletics and
with Spanish champions. Football however, remains Joma's core business and ensures we continue as the most
important brand in Spain. We have had a presence at the past three World Cups with
various national teams and are going to show what we are capable of with Valencia CF. We want to
have a close relationship with the team, the players and the entire club. Valencia CF are a big
club with enormous history and Joma are up to the task."
VCF President Manuel Llorente also gave a welcome speech to Joma:
"We are here at the gateway to Valencia, where in times past the doors to the city were opened
to visitors. We do the same today for Joma, who are a company with an international presence and,
above all, a presence in Spain. There is a flag flying here all year round and we will have one too
-that of Joma."
Damià Vidagany, VCF Comunications Director, spoke about the yearly 'retro' shirt initiative that
celebrates and pays homage to Valencian heroes of the past.
"In just three days we have received some 500 photos from fans posing with the
previous Senyeras, as part of our competition. At the heart of Valencianismo is the Senyera and it
has been so for many years. |
